Meet the photographers & videographers who make it all happen.

From talking with so many of our soon-to-be-weds over the years, we have created this company for couples like you, and hand picked a team that all share the same excited and happy attitude. What can you expect when working with our photographers and video team? The perfect artist to help you bring out the real you, while celebrating your relationship on this incredible day.

We've photographed over a thousand weddings at San Francisco City Hall and the surrounding Bay Area, and our goal is to make it memorable and fun for everyone. Even if you've never taken professional pictures before, or you and your partner are feeling a little shy and need our direction posing...that's ok! This is exactly what we expect and are prepared to do to make your day special. Not everyone feels comfortable in front of a camera, but everyone like to have fun and if you're having fun, it's going to show in your photos.

We are the San Francisco City Hall experts, and knowing this building inside and out is a must. We'll guide your photo shoot through all four floors and photograph you in the most romantic and beautiful settings, including the leaded glass windows and the iconic front doors inscribed with gold letters. We'd love to photograph your family and friends too, so you can look at all the smiles and laughter again later. We'll even show you where Marilyn Monroe got married!

We listen to your ideas, your input and will create your customized wedding day experience just for you. We'd love to see those shots that you just have to have and we encourage you to send us your list, or make a Pinterest collection for us to share. Hey, you've already found your true love, THAT was the hard part! Showing how much you love each other is going to be a lot easier than you think. Don't stress, you're wedding is going to be magical no matter what. Yes, we are that confident!

Mindy_02-320w.jpg

Mindy

Mindy is a true Mid Western girl at heart, coming to the Bay area from Michigan. She's very funny and down to earth, and that's one of the things we love about her most. She really has a way of putting her couples at ease, so their love can shine through in their images. She likes to help progressive thinking couples hold on to joy filled moments through her photography. Fueled by fresh air and chocolate chip cookies, you can find her running, gardening or picking flowers with her sweet little girls and tiny pup Ocho.

Focusing on natural poses, paying attention to detail and having fun is Melika's approach to working with couples and they give her rave reviews. When she's not spending time with her family, she loves to travel to new places, and photograph them.

"I just wanted to say a big thank you from both of us. Your team is fantastic and made our wedding in Kiev special for families and friends. Photos and video were a surprise for everyone. Photos were printed and put in the banquet area. It was the best decoration we could’ve had. And we gifted half of the printed photos to our families. Everyone was amazed by the video too. Just wanted to drop you a few lines and let you know how much of a difference your work makes. We were so happy to share our civil ceremony moments with family and friends, and their smiles and amazed faces made us very happy. And now I am looking forward to reliving the moment by flipping through the album you’re working on."

-Anastasia & Demetri

How to book your wedding date.

So you've decided that San Francisco City Hall is your beautiful, yet affordable wedding venue, and you can't wait for your wedding day to arrive. But....where to start? There are two components to getting married here, your marriage license and your wedding ceremony. They do not automatically come together, you have to book them separately.

You can make an appointment any time within 90 days before your wedding ceremony. A lot of couples book their licence appointment one hour before their wedding ceremony, but if you live in the state of California (Or just happen to be here) you can get your marriage licence at any California County Clerks office and bring it with you, along with valid I.D.. I.D can be a current drivers license or current passport. You can't have expired identification.

Next you want to go to the San Francisco City Hall Website and book your marriage appointment. Once again, the 90 day window applies. You can only book the ceremony up to 90 days before your desired date. There are a couple ways to make sure that you get the exact date and time that you want. If you are able to stay up until midnight California time, the night before the 90 day window starts, you can be the first to book at 12:01! Or, if you're not a night owl, just get up first thing in the morning and get online. There are three slots for each half hour period, so you should be just fine, as long as it's not a magic number day, like 9/19/19 or something very popular like that. However, if you don't want to wait until that close to your wedding to be guaranteed a ceremony appointment, you have two more options. You can rent the Mayors Balcony, or the 4th floor North (preferred for lighting) or South.(Can have very shadowy lighting) for about a thousand dollars, plus chair rental if you'd like chairs for your guests. All of these choices are majestic and beautiful. Best of all, they're blocked off for your privacy and no other tourists, photographers, couples or building staff can stroll through your wedding.

And lastly, we have a wonderful officiant on our team with a Ph.D in theology, so he's the real deal. JKonrade Hole has been with us for the last six years and has performed countless weddings at City Hall and around the Bay Area with our team. The main advantages are being secure in the knowledge that you have a date and officiant set, and you can even say your own vows, or mention any religious content that you'd like. We've seen him do everything from hand tying, to broom jumping and Christian blessings. He's totally accepting and open to all couples.

We don't know San Francisco and have no idea where to get hair and make up done or order our bridal bouquets or boutonnieres.

Not a problem, we've got your covered. We work with a trusted florist who's located at the famous San Francisco Flower Mart and has access to any flower that's gown anywhere on the planet! If you're looking for locally sourced and in seasonal flowers to help lower your cost, that's her specialty. She does offer delivery direct to your San Francisco hotel or SF City Hall.

Our make up artist is world class and has a City Hall special just for our brides. Internationally trained and incredibly talented, I never have to worry that my brides make up will smudge, fade or look unnatural when they go to her shop. She can also come to you, if your home or hotel if it's in San Francisco.

When you book your photography session with us, ask for my vendors list, and I'll send you their contact information. If you're looking for affordable bridal gowns and dresses, we have a list for that too!

Where do we park at San Francisco City Hall?

The other reason that couples are late, is traffic. It's gotten even more intense in the last few years, so if you're checking your GPS ahead of time, add at least another 20-30 minutes just to be sure, especially if you are coming in over any of the bridges in the morning during rush hour time, or on a Friday. We're all about helping you every step of the way, so just text the number that we'll give you for the contact person on your event date and we'll pop into the office and let them know your situation. They're a wonderful group in there and they go out of their way to help in any situation. But communication is very important to getting everything smoothed out.

What if we're late for our wedding?

How many guests can we really have? It says only six, is that true?

In a perfect world, that might be true and the reason is the noise and crowding. The whole building is made of marble and sandstone, so there's a huge amount of echo in SF City Hall on very crowded days.

At this point SF City Hall is not actively stopping people from bringing in more guests, but they really encourage you to ask your guests to not be disruptive and overly noisy. There may be a slight change in policy coming in this regard, and we'll update this page if that happens.

Whats the address of San Francisco City Hall?

Dr Carlton B Goodlett Pl, San Francisco, CA 94102

Can we call the County Clerks office and speak to somebody if we need help?

Sort of! As of now you can not call the County Clerk directly. What you can do, is call 311 non emergency service center, scroll through a touch pad menu with choices for every city department there is, and finally speak with a real live person. They will take a message for the County Clerk, and your call will be returned within one business day. Not so bad, really. I tried and got through it to a person pretty quickly.
